Join us for stories, crafts, touch tank and music geared for pre-schoolers (ages 2 - 5). Each month’s theme is designed to introduce kids to a variety of marine topics while having fun at the Nautical Museum. The program has limited space, so make your reservations early!

Upcoming Programs

August 17th: Seashells by the Seashore
	Theme Join us during story time as we learn about seashells.	Craft Afterwards create your very own wind chime using seashells and beads!
September 7, 2011: Submarine Plunge
	Theme Dive into the deep during story-time as you learn about submarine adventures.	Craft What do you see when you look out of a porthole on a submarine? Find out as you create your very own porthole, filled with fun and exciting sea creatures!
September 21, 2011: Castles Made of Sand
	Theme Learn how to build sandcastles as we make our way through story-time.	Craft Go outside to see if you can draw your ideal sandcastle using chalk! Afterwards come inside and create your very own piece of sand art!
October 5, 2011: Splash Around Sea Turtles
	Theme Discover the world of sea turtles as we splash around with them during story-time	Craft Go outside to blow bubbles and play Sea Turtle Hopscotch! Then create your very own sea turtle to take home!
October 19, 2011: Let's Go Fishing
	Theme Help reel in a big fish during story-time, then visit our big catch “Blackie!”	Craft Create your very own fishing game, so you can go home and practice catching your own fish!
October 26, 2011: A Special Spooky Edition of Sea Tales... Haunted Tales
	Theme Haunted Tales- Glow in the Dark Fish! Costumes encouraged. Learn about fish that glow in the dark- like lantern fish!	Craft Go outside to show off your costumes and play with chalk and bubbles. Finally, create your very own glow in the dark lantern fish to take with you trick-or-treating!
November 2, 2011: Diving with Dolphins
	Theme Swim with dolphins as we dive into story-time.	Craft Go outside where you can blow bubbles and draw your very own dolphin using chalk. Finally create your very own diving dolphin and decorate it using sequins and glitter!
November 16, 2011: Whale Tales
	Theme Learn about some of the largest animals in the world during story-time.	Craft Go outside to try and draw the largest whale you can think of. Afterwards, create a whale decoration to hang in your house!
December 7, 2011: Polar Bear Plunge!
	Theme Plunge into the icy water with polar bears during story time.	Craft Go outside to have fun with chalk and bubbles. Finally, create your very own jingling polar bear ornament!
December 21, 2011: Playtime with Penguins
	Theme Play around with penguins during story-time.	Craft March outside like a penguin to play with chalk and bubbles. Afterwards, create a penguin frame to hold one of your favorite photos!
