An Evening at the Museum
Join us for an evening of wine and appetizers, music and friends! Meet your friends for a glass of wine and some live music in our outdoor courtyard while visiting our galleries.
Come early and grab a bite to eat at one of the Museum courtyard restaurants or ride the Ferris wheel while enjoying our picturesque location on the bay.

- $10 for non-members
- Current members, please help us expand our circle of friends by bringing a guest. Anyone who becomes a member at the doors will get in FREE!

A Special Music by the Bay in cooperation with the Balboa Theater
Featuring the Jerry Mandel Band
With Ron Kobayashi and Debi Raven
You are invited to join us at the Nautical Museum for another evening of music and friends! The theme for this evening is Revitalization. The Nautical Museum and the Balboa Theater are working towards new facilities that will boost the renaissance of Balboa Village. Models showing the future plans for both organizations will be on display.
Friday, October 1st:
Join us at the Wooden Boat Festival Reception
The musical artist that will be featured at the reception will be carribbean musician Brad Winchell of “Sounds of Paradise”. Brad offers great vocals with clear, melodic steel drum playing. Based in Huntington Beach, “Sounds of Paradise” provides fun and memorable music that lends a wonderful atmosphere to any event.
Friday, September 10th
Instrumental Jazz Guitar by John DePatie
Our first Music by the Bay night will feature the instrumental jazz stylings of guitarist John DePatie. Mr. DePatie has been a guitarist for more than 25 years and his music has been featured in several feature and cable television movies. A former member of Nancy Sinatra’s band, he has performed on recordings, television shows and concert stages throughout the world.
