Newport to Ensenada Fiesta

Join us Sunday, April 10, 2011 from 12 – 4pm for an afternoon of family fun to celebrate the kick-off of the 64th Annual Newport to Ensenada Yacht Race. We will be hosting an afternoon of music and activities.

Holiday Open House & Christmas Boat Parade Viewing

Holiday cheer for the whole family was present at our December 16th open house. From December 15th - 19, the Christmas Boat Parade was viewed from our East Wing Gallery, with Santa Claus in the courtyard each night of the parade.

A hosted reception celebrated the opening of the Newport Harbor Nautical Museum/ExplorOcean’s Extraordinary People exhibit, paying tribute to local hero and Paralympic gold medalist in sailing, Nick Scandone.

Wooden Boat Festival

The second annual Wooden Boat Festival took place at the American Legion Yacht Club of Newport Beach on Saturday, October 2. A celebratory opening reception was held on Friday, October 1 - visit our Wooden Boat Festival event page for details.

A NIGHT FOR THE MUSUEM: LAUNCHING THE "SEA OF OF ADVENTURE"

Sea of Adventure opened on Friday, June 18th as part of our annual fundraising event A Night for the Museum: Launching the Sea of Adventure. The exhibit is in the East Wing Gallery, appropriately positioned just five yards from the waterfront intersection where Newport Harbor meets the Pacific Ocean.

LIGHTHOUSE CIRCLE LAUNCHES

The Lighthouse Circle is a deeper level of membership giving that receives all regular museum membership benefits plus invitations to exclusive events and information on the direction of the museum’s future.
